All license categories under the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology were included in Assembly Bill 5.

Thank you to all those that reached out to their local representatives and helped raise awareness amongst the lawmakers as well. Many special thanks to California Aesthetic Alliance founder Wendy Jacobs Cochran and Jaime Schrabeck for their dedication to educating the lawmakers about licensed beauty professionals and seeking fair treatment for all licensees under the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

At one point in the conversation, it was said that half a loaf of bread was better than none.
But Jaime and Wendy believe in the equality of their peers and persisted until fairness prevailed.
